Media: IBM partners with crypto custodian Metaco


Tech giant IBM will provide cryptocurrency custodian Metaco with software to protect against data breaches and cyber threats. Writes about this Cointelegraph.

We are talking about the “Cloud Hyper Protect” service and the “Keep Your Own Key” package. They can be deployed on-premises, in the cloud, and in hybrid environments.

The partners expect to attract banks and regulated financial service providers. Metaco digital asset management system can be used for storage, tokenization and transaction management.

Fiduciary obligations require the transfer of custody of assets to regulated custodians. By integrating into customer infrastructure, our solution allows you to manage and distribute risk among multiple custodians within a single management system, ”explained Seamus Donahue, Vice President of Metaco.

Metaco services are used by Standard Chartered, BBVA and Gazprombank’s Swiss subsidiary.

On March 25, CoinDesk announced a collaboration between IBM and Deutsche Bank. The tech giant will help build a cryptocurrency storage and trading platform for Germany’s largest bank.
