Brian Armstrong To Release Electronic Music Collection In NFT Form

Brian Armstrong, head of bitcoin exchange Coinbase, announced the release of three music tracks in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFT). According to him, David Khanjian, known as DJ DAVI, participated in the creation of the collection.

Armstrong noted that he became interested in writing electronic music as a hobby after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and DJ DAVI gave him free lessons. The head of Coinbase promised to transfer the funds received from the sale of NFT to Khanjyan.

Three NFT tracks will appear on the Zora marketplace. In April 2021, the project raised $ 8 million from the sale of shares. Earlier, Coinbase Ventures, Trevor McFedris of startup Brud, and a number of other investors supported the platform in a $ 2 million seed round.

Armstrong announced the release of the NFT after Coinbase posted financials for the first quarter of 2021. The exchange’s revenue was $ 1.8 billion, and the net profit is estimated at $ 730- $ 800 million.

Recall that on March 15, Tesla founder Elon Musk presented a techno track about NFT in the form of NFT and promised to put it up for sale, but later changed his mind.
