Russian woman lost 1.1 million rubles on “cryptocurrency trading”

A 49-year-old resident of the Kursk region lost more than a million rubles on a fraudulent website allegedly engaged in cryptocurrency trading. This is reported by the local Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The victim filled out an online questionnaire, after which an “analyst” called her and offered to transfer a large amount to someone else’s card.

Then the fraudsters lured out another 188,000 rubles, allegedly “to complete the transaction.” Later, under the pretext of withdrawing the first funds, they persuaded the victim to pay a certain “tax”.

In total, the Russian woman transferred 1.1 million rubles to false brokers, but did not receive a single payment in return.

The police opened a case on the fact of fraud and identified the attackers.

Earlier, ForkLog reported that in Moscow, the father accused his son of stealing 100 million rubles in cryptocurrency.
