MTS has launched a promising LTE-800 range in the Mogilev region. High-speed Internet communication became available in another 100 settlements, including in rural areas. Total communication 4G provided for more than 90% of the inhabitants of the region.
In the Mogilev region, the LTE-800 range has significantly expanded 4G coverage in rural areas. This also applies to remote villages, suburbs, regional centers and highways. The LTE-800 band has a long range – the lower the signal frequency, the farther it penetrates.
MTS will develop the LTE-800 range in other regions of the country as well. It has already been launched in the Gomel region earlier, and Minsk and Vitebsk regions are also planned for this year. By 2023, the LTE-800 range is planned to be introduced in all regions of the country.
The project for the launch and development of LTE-800 in rural areas is being implemented jointly with the infrastructure partner beCloud.
