On Wednesday, May 5, the third version of the protocol of the Uniswap decentralized exchange on the Ethereum network was launched. The migration guide is posted on GitHub.
The site stopped loading shortly after launch. At the time of writing, it remains unavailable.
On May 2, Uniswap creator Hayden Adams announced a “little fun surprise” for the launch of the third version of the protocol. Details remain unknown.
One of the main reasons for the update was increased competition from other decentralized exchanges like Curve, SushiSwap and the PancakeSwap BSC platform.
The third version of the exchange offers radically new functions and concepts, including concentrated liquidity, orders of a limit range and multiple positions within the same pool.
Recall that on April 28, the UNI token price updated its all-time high above $ 42.
On April 21, weekly trading volume on Uniswap exceeded $ 10 billion.
